Gov. Ricketts’ Labor Day Statement

LINCOLN – Today, Governor Pete Ricketts issued the following statement in observance of Labor Day:

“Nebraska is the best place in the world because of our people.  Our people are hard-working, loyal, and family-oriented, and are constantly striving to make Nebraska the best place in the world to live, work, and raise a family.  Labor Day is a celebration of the unparalleled work ethic and unique Nebraska grit that lies at the foundation of the Good Life.”

“Susanne, the kids, and I wish everyone a safe and relaxing holiday weekend, and encourage everyone to drive safely and buckle up if you have plans to travel in the coming days.”

On Labor Day, Governor Ricketts will walk in the SeptemberFest parade in Omaha and the Labor Day parade in Schuyler.
