Gov. Pete Ricketts is cutting his out-state travel plans short today to return to Lincoln to address staff assaults at the Lincoln Correctional Center. He participated in a planned town hall this morning in North Platte but, has canceled plans for a town hall and manufacturing plant tour in Lexington this afternoon.

Lincoln – Today, Governor Pete Ricketts and State Senator Matt Williams announced that they would postpone their town hall in Lexington originally scheduled to occur at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016.
The Governor has rearranged his schedule to meet with correctional officers who were assaulted in an incident last night at the Lincoln Correctional Center.
The town hall will be rescheduled at a future date. The Governor looks forward to returning to Lexington to listen to the concerns of area taxpayers and share an update on how the state is growing.
