The Grand Jury that will investigate the death of a 23-year-old Scottsbluff man last month will start their work early next year.
Scotts Bluff County Attorney Dave Eubanks tells KNEB News the panel looking into the passing of Corey Green will start their work Jan. 2, 2019.
Green had been arrested on an outstanding warrant the afternoon of November 23, and later that day he was pronounced dead at Regional West Medical Center after being transported from the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center.
An autopsy was performed November 27th.
Nebraska statutes require a grand jury investigation whenever a death takes place while a person is in the custody of law enforcement.
