Lincoln County employee’s car stolen by inmate

Lincoln County employee’s car stolen by inmate

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a stolen white, 2011 Toyota Corolla, 4-door. It was taken Thursday afternoon from the north side of the Lincoln County Detention Center in North Platte. A news release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office says around 3:25pm a maintenance worker, with the Lincoln County Court House, discovered his car was missing. He had briefly left the vehicle with the keys in it.

An immediate lock down of the Detention Center was implemented and it was found an Inmate Worker was missing. Investigation revealed forty-two year old inmate Troy M. O’Brian of Gary, Indiana walked off his work detail with maintenance personal at the Lincoln County Court House. Mr. O’Brian was a sentenced inmate with only eight hours left on his sentence. He was due to be released at tonight(Thurs) at 11:30 p.m.

It’s believed Mr. O’Brian is driving the stolen car with Nebraska license plate 15-D614. He may be in the company of twenty seven year old white female Melissa L. Sancillo also of Gary, IN.
