On Friday September 30th, a 19-year-old Grand Island man was booked into the Dawson County Jail on numerous charges related to crimes reported in Cozad in August through October of 2014. David Estrada will be arraigned in Dawson County Court on Wednesday October 5, 2016. Although a portion of records have been sealed by court order, the charges relate to graffiti, thefts and burglary. Some of the victims are individuals while others were City of Cozad property. The charges in the case were filed in August and September of 2015. Warrants for his arrest in the cases were issued in November 2015.
The charges include 3 counts of application of graffiti, three counts of theft, burglary, witness tampering and third degree assault.
A Deputy Buffalo County Attorney has been appointed to prosecute the cases.
