RRN/ Shelia Werkmeister of McCook and the "Keep On Trucking" pickup delivered to her Tuesday afternoon by KRVN staff.

The summer-long registration for Chevy Silverado pickup given away by KRVN Radio, came to an end Tuesday afternoon when it was delivered to the winner near McCook. Sheila Werkmeister registered for the “Keep On Trucking” pickup at the Frontier County Fair in Stockville. She said she has never won anything like that before.

This was the 16th year KRVN Radio has given away a vehicle. Promotions Director Beth Rogers describes it as a huge undertaking that truly takes each and every staff member to pull it off year after year. There were around 300 qualifiers from businesses that sponsored a registration box and those that registered at 72 events since May 28th. Those events included 23 county fairs, 12 parades and may BBQ’s, rodeo and community celebrations. With a nod to the theme, she said “we kept on trucking and covered almost 11,000 miles.”
