Groundbreaking ceremonies were held today for a new 10,000 square foot Early Childhood Facility for the Morrill School District.
Morrill currently has two preschool rooms at their elementary school, but the new facility will have seven rooms to accommodate not only preschool but their new Pride Cub Care for infants and toddlers. The facility will also be the new district office, housing the Superintendent, Business Manager and Assistant Business Manager.
Superintendent Joe Sherwood says the project is part of a big vision by the district and the community.
Morrill shop classes are also constructing a new 4,200 square foot wrestling practice and weight room building at a cost of less than $90,000. The scheduled completion date is in November prior to the start of the wrestling season.
