National 4-H Shoot Commits to Grand Island Through 2023

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. – The 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships will be staying in Grand Island through 2023.

The National 4-H Shooting Sports Committee has announced that the University of Nebraska – Lincoln has agreed to extend its host role as the land-grant university for the 4-H Shooting Sports National Championship an additional three years. The current agreement from 2014 – 2020 has been extended through 2023.

More than 700 of the nation’s best shooters, from more than 35 states, come to Grand Island for the event. Shooters compete in twenty seven events that cover nine discipline areas including small bore rifle, small bore pistol, muzzleloading, shotgun, air pistol, air rifle, hunting skills, recurve archery and compound archery.

This year’s event will be held at the Heartland Public Shooting Park, June 24-29.
