Grand Island, Neb. — Nebraska 511 reports Highway 30 is impassable from Grand Island west. Also I-80 westbound is now closed Grand Island west to the Wyoming line. The Nebraska Department of Transportation reports winds are gusting over 50 mph with periods of near blizzard conditions. Poor visibility is being caused by snow and blowing snow. Numerous abandoned vehicles line the interstate from Paxton to the Wyoming line. They will need to be removed before the interstate can be reopened.
I-80 closed west of Big Springs in the panhandle and east to Ogallala, both lanes.
US 83 closed south of North Platte to the Kansas State line as it is impassable. US 83 closed north of North Platte to Cherry county line, also impassable.
I-76 closed west into Colorado.Closed east of the Colorado/Nebraska state line to the junction of I-76 and I-80, both lanes.
