NebraskalandDays makes improvement to sponsor, VIP area
RRN/ Volunteers are putting the finishing touches on a new building on the north end of the Wild West Arena in North Platte. It will be a VIP building for major sponsors of the Buffalo Bill Rodeo.

North Platte, Neb. – May 2018 – The NebraskalandDays committee has upped their game for this year’s celebration June 13-23.

They have built a hospitality building on the north end of the Wild West Arena in North Platte, replacing the VIP tent that had been there.

The new building consists of two stories for a total of 4,800 square feet. The first floor includes a concrete floor, audio-visual so the arena action can be seen inside the building, bars, restrooms, and a patio area.  The second floor club level includes four individual suites for sponsor use and a walkout deck.

“We think it’s going to be the cool place for people to be,” said David Fudge, executive director of NebraskalandDays.

As events compete for sponsorship dollars, “creature comforts” become more important. “A few little improvements here and there make the experience better,” Fudge said. “It’s someplace where you can get out of the heat and the dirt, with a restroom handy.”

The NebraskalandDays board of directors did some of the work in order to keep the cost down.

“This is a natural evolution for us,” Fudge said, “for what we’re doing for hospitality for the people who support us. People who have toured it are excited about using it.”

The first floor level of the new building will be called Chute 9. The second level is named the Directors Club.

NebraskalandDays celebrates its fiftieth year in North Platte this year with the Buffalo Bill Rodeo on June 13-16, a concert by Florida-Georgia Line on June 22 and a concert by Alabama with the Charlie Daniels Band opening on June 23. Other activities take place during the event as well.
