KNEB News has learned that the property known as ‘Harry’s Plaza’ along Highway 26 northeast of Minatare has been sold, and the new owners are seeking to potentially resurrect the businesses at that location.
In October, Brody and Corrine Skinner approached the Minatare City Council about the possibility of annexing the property into that community.
Scotts Bluff County land records show the property was deeded to the Skinners by Bernhardt Land LLC of Colorado November 5th.
Minatare Mayor Bob Baldwin tells KNEB News the couple has expressed an interest in revitalizing the property. “Back with a service station, a c-store, the cafe, and possibly the motel down the road,” says Baldwin. “As far as the annexation, I don’t see any difficulty at this point.” Minutes from the October council meeting indicated the Skinners would seek annexation as part of a plan to tie-in utilities such as water and sewer to the Minatare infrastructure.
Records in the Scotts Bluff County Registrar of Deeds office indicate the property was deeded to the Skinners by Bernhardt Land LLC of Colorado earlier this month for an undisclosed amount.
