NORFOLK – Northeast Community College will offer two continuing education courses for insurance professionals next month.
Insurance: Technology Privacy Decision Making (31441-NE; 82192-IA) (INSU 5270/19S & CRN #70333) will be held on Wednesday, May 1, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Lifelong Learning Center on Northeast’s Norfolk campus.
This course will discuss the technology ethics culture. Participants will review best practices in data protection and how policies affect the processing and sharing of customer information with others. A compliance discussion and case reviews provide regulatory insight to consequences of a breach. Three hours of continuing education in Ethics.
Insurance: Crime Insurance Options (38200-NE; 102595-IA (INSU 5240/19S & CRN #70334) will be held Wednesday, May 1, from 1-4 p.m. in the same location.
This course discusses the need for crime insurance and provides a general overview of endorsements, appropriate use and coverages. Three house of continuing education in Property/Casualty.

NORFOLK –Northeast Community College will offer an additional course option next month for those interested in learning the basics of motorcycle riding.
Motorcycle Rider Course (TRAN 5105/19S & CRN #70017/70018) will be offered Friday through Sunday, May 3-5. Hours on Friday will be 6:30-10 p.m.; Saturday, 7:50 a.m.-5:30 p.m., and Sunday 7:50 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Classes will be held in Room 102 in the Northeast Community College Utility Line building, just east of the main campus on Benjamin Avenue.
The class includes five hours of classroom instruction and ten hours of riding instruction. It begins with the basics, such as turning, shifting, and braking. Then it moves on to more advance street riding strategies. Professionally trained instructors teach in the classroom and then coach riders in a controlled riding area.
Within 30 days of the completing the course, students are required to take the MSF Basic eCourse. Details regarding this course will be sent to students after they register for the Motorcycle Rider Course. There is no additional cost for the mandatory eCourse.
Cost of the course, with Michael Holcomb, James Jones and Tom Broekemeier the instructors, is $250.
