A very good turnout Monday night at the John A Stahl Library in West Point for the NET Kids/PBS Kids “Odd Squad” event with lots of family friendly activities and games.
Martha Florence, director of community engagement for NET helped lead the activities with robot princesses, blobs throwing and button-making.
Coming up Friday, another group from NET will begin West Point for a coffee and informal community discussion at the West Point Community Theatre, Lower Level Gallery.
Following that at 9 a.m., NET’s “Friday Live” will be broadcast live statewide from the theatre.
The radio show will include music, arts, literature and events happening across the region. Performers include Dustin Prinz, singer, songwriter and guitarist originally from West Point and jazz performers Paul Hosford and his son, Thomas Hosford, both of Albion.
The broadcast will also highlight the West Point Community Theatre building, built in 1911, the Neihardt State Historic Site’s Beer and Limerick Festival in Bancroft and events presented by the Albion Area Arts Council.
