Preliminary hearing in Ft. Laramie stabbing set for Monday

Preliminary hearing in Ft. Laramie stabbing set for Monday

The Goshen County Attorney’s office says the next scheduled court appearance for a Ft. Laramie man charged with first degree murder in a fatal stabbing last Thursday is this coming Monday  morning, June 4th.

26 year old Jamie Snyder is scheduled to be in Circuit Court at 9:30 a.m. for his first opportunity at a preliminary hearing.

Snyder is accused in the death of 32 year old Wade Erschabek of Guernsey. Court documents say the stabbing took place at a Ft. Laramie residence after Snyder thought the victim was the person responsible for breaking into his home and stealing a title for his older model pickup. Snyder claims he stabbed Erschabek in self defense.

Snyder is being held without bond.
