April 4, 2019—In March Raising Cane’s held a fundraiser at their Lincoln, Grand Island, Norfolk, Kearney, Fremont and North Platte restaurants from 5-9pm in support of the 2019 Nebraska flood victims. Raising Cane’s officials recently met up with Captain Stephen Hansen of the Fremont Salvation Army to present a check from the fundraiser for over $7,950.
“The outpouring of support from our restaurants’ communities is truly amazing.” said Jennifer Jones, Co-Owner of the Raising Cane’s franchise. “A huge thank you to everyone who was able to dine at our restaurants, and to everyone who dropped off supplies during the week. Having lived through Hurricane Katrina, we know what these families and communities are going through, and it’s when we see the support that’s happening across the state, that we know we’ll make it through this.” she continued.
Raising Cane’s donated 15% of all sales during the fundraiser, but also saw donations from individuals and organizations across the state ranging from $1, up to $500. All funds have been donated to the Salvation Army, and will stay in the state of Nebraska to help with the flood relief efforts.
