Regional West Foundation hosts successful 6th annual Gala

The Weborg 21 Centre in Gering was the site Friday evening for the 6th annual Regional West Foundation’s Gala, “White Winter Woods.” The gala is the signature fundraising event for the foundation.

Each year the  gala honors past and present Regional West health care providers  that have contributed to the success of the medical center. “White Winter Woods” honored  Dr. Ken Johnson, his wife Bobbi  and his brother the late Dr. Milton “Pete” Johnson.

The Johnson brothers were raised in Banner County on a farm homesteaded by their grandfather. Both physicians earned their medical degree at the university of Nebraska College of Medicine, served in the military and practiced at Bluffs Medical Clinic in Scottsbluff. Dr. Ken Johnson retired from the Regional West medical staff in 1999 and Dr. Pete Johnson retired in 2014 .

Western States Bank; Baker and Associates; Studio 120 Architecture; B&C Steel; and Ideal Linen were the major sponsors for the event.
