Students in Justin Reinmuth’s Gering High School Engineering class provided the media Thursday a glimpse of their presentation a couple weeks ago to Samsung officials in New York.

For the second year in a row, the students were national finalists in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition. Because of the student’s innovation, Reinmuth’s says his class has received close to $150,000 in technology from Samsung with more coming he believes they will share with other classes.

Seniors Kenney Witcofski and Adam Moench along with Junior Rachel Rawlings made the presentation Thursday and are making presentations to interested groups and organizations.

The students emphasized their presentation was a  team effort by students in the class. They also said their first taste of what New York was amazing as Samsung paid for them to be in one of the best hotels and provided them with great food and opportunities throughout their stay.
