The Scottsbluff man accused of sexually assaulting two teenagers during a game of ‘Truth or Dare’ in the summer of 2015 at Lake Minatare will be sentenced later this year after pleading guilty Thursday to one felony and one misdemeanor charge.
35-year-old Manuel Trevino was accused of groping a teenage girl and forcing her 13-year-old male cousin to perform a sex act on him on July 3rd, 2015. The boy didn’t come forward until this past April, one month before he was set to stand trial on the groping charge.
Trevino pleaded guilty to a felony charge of 3rd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child as well as a misdemeanor charge of non-injury 3rd Degree Sexual Assault. Trevino could be facing a maximum of four years in prison if the sentences run consecutively.
