Scottsbluff Public Schools has been identified as Nebraska’s only AdvancED Regional recipient of the 2018 Values Driven Award of Excellence. The award was presented at the 2018 Midwest Region Fall Conference in Schaumburg, Illinois scheduled October 30 – 31.
AdvancED is a non-profit, continuous improvement organization that conducts rigorous, on-site reviews of a variety of educational institutions and provides resources, tools and support to education leaders across the globe to ensure all learners realize their full potential.
Rick Myles, Scottsbluff Public Schools Superintendent said . “I cannot imagine any recognition that better affirms our district’s mission of Every Child, Every Day. AdvancEd has long been viewed as the preeminent school accreditation entity in the country. It’s a fantastic honor to have them visit our schools, study our work, conduct dozens of interviews and ultimately recognize us in this way. What a fantastic compliment to our students, our staff, our Board of Education and the entire community. It provides all of us both the affirmation and a challenge to continue to grow .”
