A Scottsbluff mother is set to make her first court appearance Wednesday afternoon on a child abuse charge.
20-year-old Racheal Wasserburger was arrested Monday stemming from an incident that took place this summer.
Court documents say on July 7th, two of Wasserburger’s friends took her 3-year-old daughter to the hospital for redness consistent with diaper rash.
Wasserburger did not go to the hospital with her daughter, but while the friends were taking the girl to the E.R., she left in a pickup. While they were all at the hospital, they called Wasserburger to see if she would be coming to the hospital to be with her daughter, but she stated she didn’t have a vehicle to get there.
An arrest warrant for Wasserburger was issued on Monday on a charge of intentional child abuse-no injuries; which is a Class IIIA Felony.
