Voters in Scotts Bluff County will not see any changes in their polling places today, but the construction at WNCC means that where you vote at the college has changed.
A sign at 27th street and 17th Avenue will direct you to the far end of the east parking lot, where you will find a parking space and then enter the college through Door 14 to the polling area.
Regionally, a number of communities are considering economic development initiatives, including the LB 357 proposal in Scottsbluff that would provide a half cent of sales tax for specific infrastructure projects. Gering has renewal of their LB 840 program on the ballot and Bridgeport is considering an LB 840 program for the first time.
There are two contested Mayor’s races, one in Mitchell and one in Bayard, that have viable write-in candidates. There will be at least two new members elected to the Scottsbluff city council, and there are other contested city council and school board races occurring throughout the region.
