Elwood, Ne. — Two Wisconsin men are in custody after suspected marijuana and marijuana-laced candy and food products were found in a vehicle during a traffic stop on Monday in Gosper County. Sheriff Dennis Ocken says in a news release that a Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop for speeding on a 2010 Dodge Caravan with Wisconsin license plates at mile marker 47 on Highway 283. The deputy detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and conducted a search.
The Deputy located five, 1 ounce containers of marijuana, a more than 2 ounce container of marijuana brownies, a 100 mg. bar of marijuana gummi candy and a more than 2 gram container of marijuana.
The driver, 74 year old Peder Spolum of Rio, Wisconsin and the passenger, 70 year old Douglas Dypold of Edgerton, Wisconsin were arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
Both subjects were transported to the Dawson County Jail. The subjects were traveling from Colorado to Wisconsin.
