SEWARD, Neb. – On Wednesday, December 20, shortly before 7 p.m., Deputy Johnson of the Seward County Sheriff’s Office attempted to make a traffic stop on Hwy 34, near 252nd Road. The vehicle failed to pull over, and a pursuit ensued into the city of Seward.
The pursuit lasted approximately five minutes. Eventually the suspects vehicle attempted to drive through a backyard of a Seward residence, where they became stuck. Both the driver and the passenger were taken into custody without incident.
The driver was identified as Andrew J. Owen, 20, and the passenger was identified as Skyler R. Wolfe, 19. Bother Owen and Wolfe are from Lincoln. Owen was lodged into the Seward County Jail for Felony Operating a Motor Vehicle to Avoid Arrest, Willful Reckless Driving, Driving Under Suspension along with numerous traffic violations. Wolfe was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Richardson County and was lodged in Seward County Jail.
