CENTRAL CITY –  Authorities were dispatched to a one vehicle roll over accident approximately a mile west of Central City, Sunday night. The Merrick County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the Ormsby Road and Inskip Avenue intersection shortly after 8:00 p.m., where it was determined that a pickup entered the south ditch while traveling eastbound on Ormsby Rd.

The pickup struck a pasture access driveway and then rolled several times before coming to a stop against an electrical pole. Both occupants of the vehicle were transported by Central City Ambulance to Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital in Central City. Due to the severity of both subjects injuries they were later transported by helicopter to an outside medical facility. It is not believed that seatbelts were in use.
