A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the West Point area from 9 p.m. Monday evening until 6 p.m. Tuesday.
A total of 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected with winds gusting 40 to 55 miles per hour. That will cause brief periods of near zero visibility in addition to some blowing and drifting of snow.
The advisory includes portions of east central and northeast Nebraska and southwest and west central Iowa.
Plan on slippery road conditions, including during the morning commute and reduced visibility at times.
There’s also a wind advisory in effect until 9 p.m. tonight with strong northwest winds 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts of up to 45 to 55 miles per hour.
Travel will be difficult for high profile vehicles. Loose and light weight objects may be blown around.
