Winter Weather Advisory Until 6 PM Sunday

The National Weather Service has a winter weather advisory in effect for our area until 6 pm Sunday, cancelling the winter storm warning:

 

..HEAVY SNOW IN FAR EASTERN NEBRASKA AND PARTS OF WESTERN IOWA...

.Several bands of heavy snow developed overnight from the Omaha Metro area into western Iowa. Snowfall reports through 3 AM were in the 4 to 5 inch range, with additional periods of moderate to heavy snow during the morning pushing totals toward 8 inches in
some spots. Occasional light snow with brief periods of moderate snow are possible across the rest of eastern Nebraska andsouthwest Iowa through the day. Patchy blowing snow is also like as north winds gust to 35 mph.

Including the cities of Albion, St. Edward, West Point, Wisner, Columbus, and Schuyler

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING......WINTER STORM WARNING IS CANCELLED...

* WHAT...Occasional light snow, with brief periods of moderate now. Additional snow accumulations of up to two inches. Patchy blowing snow with north winds 20 to 35 mph.

* WHERE...Boone, Cuming, Platte and Colfax Counties.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM CST this evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
