Governor Pete Ricketts announced this morning that Highway 275 will be expanded to four lanes of divided highway between Scribner and West Point, with dirt to be turned by 2019.

It’s one of eight new projects that will be under construction, more than 10 in the designing process and two in planning under the Build Nebraska Act  and the Transportation Innovation Act.

One of the other eight new projects is adding four miles of four lane divided highway to U.S. 77, as part of the Fremont Southeast Beltway.

Selected for design work is about 30 miles of Highway 275 from West Point to Pilger, with a four lane divided expressway with bypass.

Also US 77 from  Wahoo to Fremont,  as a 4 lane divided expressway.
