McCool Junction – A heavily trafficked road just outside of McCool Junction will finally see some maintenance to improve the roads quality. Tuesday, the York County Board of Commissioners approved the patching of Road 5, also know as Spring Lake Road, north of McCool Junction just east of Highway 81.
Spring Lake Estates residents showed support for the project by appearing at Tuesday’s Commissioner meeting, stating that it has been roughly 13 years since the road was paved. Patching is set to begin this fall to prepare the road for next year when four inches of new pavement will be laid.
The Spring Lake Estates area currently has almost 30 homes and holds a valuation of between $7 million to $9 million.
