For just the second time since the merger the Wilcox/Hildreth boys basketball team has earned a spot in the Class D2 state tournament. The Falcons are 19-7 on the season after beating Giltner in the District Final. First year head coach Matt Nelson spoke with KRVN’s Jayson Jorgensen about their season.

Senior Lantz Grauerholz leads the way at 13ppg and 9 rebounds per game. Aaron Jenkins scores 9 per night. Wilcox/Hildreth gives up just 43 ppg and goes to Lincoln on a five game winning streak. After downing Giltner in the District Final, the Falcons will turn around and play them again on Thursday morning at 10:45am at Lincoln Southeast. The Falcons last trip to state was in 2015.
