Briar Cliff softball head coach Michelle Schaper announced the signing of Megan Loutsch to her 2017-18 Charger recruiting class. Loutsch is currently in her senior season at Marcus Meriden Cleghorn Remson Union High School in Remsen, Iowa.
Loutsch had a batting average of .246 as a junior with 17 hits, 16 RBIs, 11 runs, two doubles and a .275 slugging average. Outside of softball, she won the MMCRU Royal Player Award in basketball as a junior and is involved in speech, student council, National Honor Society and FFA. She is also a three year member of the honor roll and was listed in the top five of her class for the last three years.
“We are excited to welcome Megan into our program,” stated Coach Schaper. “We look forward to watching her grow as an athlete and seeing her talents shine on and off the field.”
Megan is the daughter of Bob and Leslie Loutsch and is planning on majoring in elementary education at BC.
