The Briar Cliff University softball program is excited to announce the signing of Elizabeth Painter to the 2019-20 recruiting class.
“Elizabeth is going to be a great addition to our program,” said head coach Erin Bly. “She has experience playing on top travel and high school teams and will definitely have a great impact on our program.”
Painter chose Briar Cliff not only for the softball program, but also because of the community presence she felt on campus.
“Right as I stepped on the campus I was welcomed and everyone was so generous,” Painter said. “As for the softball team, all of the girls I met the day I visited accepted me and I felt part of a big family.”
During her time at the Cliff, Painter hopes to achieve big things on and off the field.
“I would like to strive for all conference as this would prove to myself I can accomplish great things,” Painter added. “When I graduate, I would also be the first in my family to get a degree.”
Elizabeth comes to the Cliff with the support of her family, which includes her parents, Kenneth and Ila, and siblings, Kenny, Jayme, Brandi and Emma.
