Briar Cliff Women’s volleyball to hold summer camp sessions

The Briar Cliff women’s volleyball team plans to host camp sessions for middle and high school aged girls this summer at the Newman Flanagan Center.

The camps are one-day events with three dates to choose from for middle school students and three dates for high school students for flexibility. These sessions are designed to focus on fundamentals to help participants gain improved volleyball skills and become excited about the sport. The camps will emphasize technique through volleyball skills lessons and drill performance.

The camp sessions will be directed by head women’s volleyball coach Lindsey Weatherford, who is entering her first season at the helm of the Charger program. She played volleyball collegiately at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa and has coached at various levels for 20+ years. Weatherford will be assisted by others on the BC coaching staff as well as members of the 2019 team.
