Former Wildcat standout throwers Carly Fehringer and Michaela Dendinger will compete this weekend in the hammer throw at the USA Track and Field Championships at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.

This will be the fourth trip to the USA Track and Field Championships for Fehringer, who is ranked 15th in the nation entering Saturday’s hammer throw at 2:20 p.m. Fehringer was a four-time All-American (twice in the hammer throw) and a 12-time national qualifier during her career at WSC from 2011-14.

Dendinger, coming off an NCAA Division II National Championship in the hammer throw last month, is ranked 18th in the country in the hammer throw and is making her first appearances at the USA Track and Field Championships. Dendinger was a three-time national champion and nine-time All-American in her career at WSC from 2014-18.
