Four-run third inning lifts Ponca Seniors past Tekamah-Herman

A four-run third-inning helped propel Ponca to a 7-4 win over Tekamah-Herman in Ralph Bishop League Seniors Tournament action Tuesday evening.
Evan Anderson posted the win on the mound, striking out five while allowing seven hits. Drew Schmidt took the loss for the Tiger Seniors.

Schmidt & Nate Olson each clubbed a pair of hits to lead the Tiger Seniors’ offense. Olson had a pair of doubles while Schmidt had one double. Schmidt drove in a pair of runs while Brandon Schram & Robby Mayberry each drove in one. Olson, Austin Pickell, Johnny Braniff & Chauncey Rogers each scored a run for Tekamah-Herman.

Ponca was led by Derick Touney & Max Masin. Touney went 3-4 at the plate, including a solo HR & double while scoring three runs. Masin went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s.

Ponca advances to play Pender, who defeated Laurel 9-0.
