Nebraska’s Men’s Basketball team has started very strong early in the season. With the Huskers standing at 3-0, things are looking promising for the team that has high expectations. The most recent win for the Huskers was over Seton Hall, 80-57. James Palmer Jr. poured in 29 points for Nebraska. Issac Copeland Jr. also added a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Nebraska has shown so far that they are on a mission this season and continue to dismantle opponents. If the Huskers guard play and the bench continues to develop, they will be tough to beat.
This week for Nebraska, they will first face Missouri State, tonight Monday, November 19th at 6:00 P.M. in the Hall of Fame Classic. The Bears are 3-0 also this season. Their latest win was over Stetson 83-70. The Bears are led by a pair of guards that can really fill up the scoresheet. Senior Jarred Dixon is averaging 18.7 points per game and junior Keandre Cook is scoring 17.3 points per game. The Huskers will have to limit their scoring in the game to have success. The game will tip-off tonight at 6:00 P.M. on KRVN. Following that game they will either play Texas Tech or USC on Tuesday.
The other opponent for Nebraska is Western Illinois. The Leathernecks are 2-2 on the season. Their latest game was a loss to Eastern Illinois in a close contest, 68-66. They are led by a sophomore standout Kobe Webster. Webster stands at just 6-0 tall but averages 18.5 points and seven rebounds to lead the Leathernecks. That game will be on Saturday with tip-off set for 12:00 P.M. The game can be heard on KRVN.
