Iowa State Ranked No. 25 in AVCA Coaches Poll

Iowa State Ranked No. 25 in AVCA Coaches Poll

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State volleyball team returned to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 this week, coming in at the No. 25 position. The ranking comes after Iowa State completed a 3-0 ranking at the Cyclone Invitational.

Iowa State is back in the AVCA Top 25 for the first time since November 2013.

The Cyclones are currently 3-0 on the season after picking up sweeps of Kent State, Omaha and New Mexico at Hilton Coliseum last weekend. ISU was led by Cyclone Invitational co-MVPs Alexis Conaway and Grace LazardClick here to hear it, both of whom hit for over .400 and averaged 1.33 blocks per set on the weekend.

The No. 25 Cyclones are back on the road this weekend at the Dayton Invitational, taking on hosts Dayton Friday night at 6 p.m. Central Time, and Pittsburgh on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Central Time.
