York- It was a very successful day for the Lexington girls and boys soccer teams on Tuesday as each team won games on the road. Despite being out shot on goal 15-5 Lexington managed to beat York in a shoot out 2-1 in the girls game. The match was tied after one after two overtimes. The shootout went to the seventh shooter before Lexington eventually won. In regulation Kathy Flores scored a second half goal for Lexington off an assist from Lizbeth Lopez. Rosy Galvan and Montse Manzo combined to stop 15 shots for Lexington as the Minutemaids improved to 2-1 on the season.
In the boys game, Lexington shutout York 3-0 as the Minutemen grabbed an early two nothing lead at the half. Lester Perez, Damian Ramirez and Javier Rivas all scored for the Minutemen. In goal Gustavo Castro picked up the shutout as he faced just two shots as the Minutemen improved to 3-1 on the year.
