OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha head coach Amanda Eberhart announced the addition of six student-athletes that have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Maverick softball program in the fall of 2019.

Mavericks that signed NLI’s are: Grace Boganowski, Taylor Johnson, Kamryn Meyer, Diana Murtha, Sydney Ross and Kori Stonestreet.

“We are happy to welcome our incoming freshman class,” said Eberhart.  “We know they will bring the character, competitiveness and dedication that Omaha Softball strives to achieve every year.  We have a good mix of players coming in; we are looking forward to the depth and competitiveness this group will bring.”

Grace Boganowski – Omaha, Neb. – Concordia Jr./Sr. High
Boganowski is a four-year letterwinner for the DC West/Concordia Jr./Sr. program.  As a senior, she hit .418 with five home runs and 31 RBI while leading the Falcons to a 19-12 record.  Boganowski is a two-time all-state performer and picked up Academic All-State plaudits as a junior.  She is also a three-year letterwinner on the Concordia soccer team.

Boganowski played travel ball for Nebraska Force and was part of the 2016 USSSA Class B National Championship team.

Taylor Johnson – P/Utility – Thousand Oaks, Calif. – Oaks Christian
Johnson, a pitcher and utility player from Thousand Oaks, Calif., is a three-year letterwinner for Oaks Christian High School.  As a junior, she hit .427 with a league-leading 46 RBI while picking up four wins in the circle with a 1.36 ERA.  Johnson picked up first team all-league, all county, all-area and all-region accolades after leading the Lions to a 28-4 overall record and captured the Marmonte League championship with a 9-1 mark.

Johnson played travel ball for the Clutch Up Softball Academy and the team was quarterfinalists at the 2017 Champions Cup.

Kamryn Meyer – Pitcher – Durant, Iowa – Durant
Meyer, a pitcher from Durant, Iowa, is a four-year letterwinner at Durant High School.  She has a career record of 49-5 with 494 strikeouts.  Meyer also is a two-time first-team all-state and an all-conference performer.

Meyer played travel ball for Iowa Premier.

Diana Murtha – Shortstop – McKinney, Texas – McKinney Boyd 
Murtha, a shortstop from McKinney, Texas, is three-year letterwinner at McKinney Boyd High School.  She is a three-time all-district performer and two-time Bronco Offensive Player of the Year.  Murtha also is a three-time Academic All-District honoree.

Murtha played travel ball for Vision Fastpitch.

Sydney Ross – Catcher – Lee’s Summit, Mo. – Lee’s Summit North
Ross, a catcher from Lee’s Summit, Mo., is a four-year letterwinner at Lee’s Summit North High School.  She hit .410 with 13 doubles, five homeruns and 24 RBI while earning second team all-state honors as senior.  Ross is a four-time all-conference and all-district performer for the Broncos.  She also is a three-time letterwinner on the track team.

Ross played travel ball for Originals KC.

Kori Stonestreet – Utility – Overland Park, Kan. – Blue Valley Southwest
Stonestreet, a utility player from Overland Park, Kan., is a three-year letterwinner at Blue Valley Southwest High School.  She served as a captain during her junior season.  Stonestreet has been part of two regional championships and a 5A State Runner-up.

Stonestreet played travel ball for the Wichita Mustangs.
