OMAHA, Neb. — Senior guard Zach Jackson was tabbed Summit League Men’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week for his performances Nov. 19-25, the league office announced Monday. It marks the second weekly award of his career.
Jackson averaged 26.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.5 blocks per game over two contests last week, shooting .682 (15-of-22) from the field, .545 (6-of-11) from long range and .810 (17-of-21) at the free throw line. The Wichita, Kan., native opened the week with 20 points on 5-of-8 shooting in Omaha’s come-from-behind victory Tuesday at Bethune-Cookman. He followed up Saturday vs. Montana State with a career-high 33 points, shooting 10-of-14 with a career-best six 3-pointers and a flawless 7-of-7 effort at the stripe. Jackson added four rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block in the win. The performances also extended Jackson’s double-figure scoring streak to six games.
