6-man action was on KRVN tonight, as the Elwood Pirates hosted Wilcox-Hildreth. Elwood didn’t get the result they were looking for as they fell 48-21 to Wilcox-Hildreth.
In the first quarter it was a close ball game as the Falcons led 14-7. In the second Wilcox-Hildreth took over scoring 21 unanswered points and at half the score was 35-7.
In the second half the Falcons were able to maintain their lead even without starting running back A.J. Jenkins, as he rested for the remainder of the game. In the third quarter the teams tied each scoring seven points. In the fourth Elwood outscored the Falcons 7-6, but were unable to get any closer.
For the Pirates, Raul Clouse led the way with 143 yards and a score. For the Falcons A.J. Jenkins finished the game with 177 yards and three scores.
Both teams are now 1-1, and Elwood will face Deshler next week and for Wilcox-Hildreth they will have a game against Harvard next week.
