PRESS RELEASE: Scottsbluff High School names New Head Coaches

Hers is the press release from Scottsbluff Activities Director, Dave Hoxworth, on the two coaching hires from Monday.

Scottsbluff High School would like to announce the following individuals have been selected as Head Coaches for the 2018-19 school year.

John Galindo has been named the new Head Swimming and Diving coach for the Seacats.  He will replace long time coach Mike Hayhurst who retired from coaching at the end of the season.  Galindo has served as Assistant Swim coach since 2015 and also coaches with the Torpedo Youth Swim Club.  Galindo has also been a certified swimming official, by both the NSAA and USA Swimming since 2009.

Dustin Stodola will join the Bearcats as the new Head Wrestling coach for the 2018-19 season replacing James Miller who resigned at the end of the season.  Stodola is a former assistant coach and wrestler from Chadron State College where in 2014 he placed 4th at the NCAA DII National Championships.  He currently teaches physical education and coaches wrestling in Perkins County.
