The Scottsbluff/Gering Seacats swim and dive team competed in McCook for the second time this season on Saturday.
Despite falling in duals to North Platte and McCook, Head Coach John Galindo was pleased with the both the men’s and women’s performances, “It was another great week for the Seacats. We returned to McCook looking to better ourselves from last week and we did that with flying colors!”
Scottsbluff/Gering ended up with a new secondary time in the 100 Fly from Samantha Galindo at 1:06.09.
Breckden Holten produced a big effort with a win in the 500 free with a time of 7:27.97, dropping 2:24 from last Friday, “Before his race he was a bit nervous and I told him exactly how I wanted him to swim and he took what I told him and did everything on point”, Galindo said.
Galindo added he was proud of each and every one of the team members and that they’re starting to win against the stop watch.
