Here are some results from yesterday’s track and field meets at Mitchell and Broken Bow.

Mitchell Invite

Boys

  1. Sidney 102

Highlights: Gering earned individual first places from Xavier Arellano (mile and two mile), Wade Blue (shot put)…..Kadin Perez of Mitchell won three events (100, 200, 400 meters) and also ran on the winning 400 meter relay team…..Drake Gilliland of Mitchell also ran on that winning relay team while finishing 1st in the 300 hurdles and 3rd in the 110’s.

Highlights: Mitchell senior, Jori Peters dominated, winning the 400 and 800 meters runs while also running on two winning relay teams (4×100 and 4×400)…..Gering got event wins from Jasmine Johnson in the 100 meters and Brinley Pszanka in the high jump.

Highlights: The Scottsbluff boys are rolling. In the 200 meters they swept the top three spots (Chris Busby, Hunter Drake, Jeremiah Delzer)…..Drake captured first in the 100 meters while Delzer finished 2nd…..Nate Cherry took 2nd place in the open quarter…..Jesse Jaramillo won the two mile run.

Highlights: Kaylee Bentley, running the two mile for the first time, broke a 14 year old meet record with a winning time of 12:05.83…..Bentley also won the mile run…..Brooke Holzworth finished in 2nd place in both those events…..Yara Garcia finished 2nd in both the 200 and 400 meters.
