The Lexington boys basketball program has a new head coach this year in Norfolk native and Nebraska Wesleyan graduate Jonah Bradley. He inherits a team that went 8-18 a year ago. While Lexington is still a relatively young team they do bring back plenty of experience from last year. Bradley talks about how things are coming along heading into the season opener.
Lexington’s top returners include junior Andrew Saiz, he already holds the school record with 85 three pointers in his career. He averaged 9 ppg last year. Another returning starter is sophomore Jake Leger who averaged 6 points and 3 rebounds a game last winter. Lexington is looking for its first winning season in basketball since winning 13 games in 2004. The Minutemen start the year on Thursday at home against Gothenburg. That game can be heard on 93.1 KRVN The River and krvn.com.
