West Nebraska All-Star coaches announced

The West Nebraska All-Star committee has announced the coaching staffs for the football and volleyball showcase games set to be played this summer on June 11th in Scottsbluff.

For the 44th annual football game the West will be led by head coach Brent Bauer from Ogallala. The assistant coaches will be Tanner Collins (Perkins County), Dale Frerichs (Potter-Dix), and Keegan Hoppens (Ogallala).

The head coach for the East team will be Broken Bow’s Carlie Wells. The East assistants will be Mat Jageler (Arnold), Kurt Kuhlhanek (Ansley), and Ryan Wetovick (Broken Bow).

For the 38th annual volleyball match the head coach for the West team will be April Lambert of Chase County with Leslie Foral (Scottsbluff) serving as the assistant coach.

The East head coach is Lexington’s Samantha Hammond. Jeri Graff (Ainsworth) will be the assistant coach.

Both games will be played on Saturday, June 11th. The volleyball match will be played at WNCC’s Cougar Palace starting at 2 pm MT with the football game to follow that night at Bearcat Stadium starting at 7 pm MT.

A portion of the proceeds from the West Nebraska All-Star Games will benefit local organizations.
