WAYNE – The West Point-Beemer girls golf team took first place at the Wayne High Invite on Friday, August 24. The Cadets shot a team total of a 397, with Brook Diekemper placing second overall individually with an 83. Other scores for West Point-Beemer included Maddie Erb placing fifth with a 94. Kailey Oswald shot a 107 and Sophie Alfson finished with a 113.
Oakland-Craig was the team runner-up with a 427. Ashley Denton finished fourth with a 94, Edie Anderson had a 101, while Selena Johnson and Grace Pille each shot a 116.
Thurston-Cuming County finished eighth as a team with a 524. Paige Peters was the individual champion of the event with a 75. Emma Beutler shot a 138, Tori Dale had a 146 and Emily Luedert shot a 165.
