Wolverines Split Road Doubleheader with H/LHF, Boys Win in OT

HUMPHREY – Bancroft-Rosalie/Lyons-Decatur hit the road for a girls and boys varsity basketball doubleheader with Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family on Monday, heard on 107.9 The Bull. H/LHF got off to a hot start in the girls game and took a 35-19 lead into halftime, before defeating the Wolverines 62-31. Isabel Freemont had 15 points to lead BRLD, who is now 11-6 on the season.

The Bulldogs also got off to a hot start in the boys games and would lead by as many as 18 points in the first half, before BRLD cut the score to 39-32 at the intermission. The second half was back-and-forth with several ties and lead changes. The score ended up 71-71 at the end of regulation, forcing OT. The Wolverines, who found their rhythm in the second half, outscored the Bulldogs 12-0 in the extra period to complete the 83-71 comeback win. Lucas Vogt scored 30 points for BRLD, with Darwin Snyder adding 25, including six three pointers. Jaxon Johnson added 15 points. The Wolverines improve to 14-1.
