The grocery store that has become a popular lunch stop in Minatare and frequented by customers from throughout the region for their quality meat will be closing at the end of October.
Prairie Sky Foods owner Jana Schwartz says she and her husband Trevor are really hoping that someone might step forward to purchase the store to continue providing that service to the community. She says they have truly enjoyed operating the business, but it’s time for them to do something different.
Scwartz says they will be selling down their inventory with great specials throughout October, including a meat closeout. She says Trevor does a great job of cutting really high quality meat, and many people drive to Minatare to purchase garlic sausage every week.
She says a customer appreciation event they will be holding on Wednesday, October 19th will be a great time to come check out the specials, and place your final meat orders.
Coincidentally, the grocery store in Mitchell was closed around a month ago, and KNEB News has learned that the Jack & Jill grocery store in Bridgeport will be closed after this Friday.
