The Northeast Nebraska Corn Growers and associated companies hosted 250 5th Grade Students from surrounding counties at the Beaumont in Wayne on Thursday, August 29th.
Nine classrooms with over 200 fifth graders attended the event that included hands-on interactive learning about Nebraska’s number one industry, agriculture.
Fifth graders from across Northeast Nebraska attended the Growing Potential Ag Festival held at the Beaumont Event & Concert Hall in Wayne, NE. Learning stations were set up throughout the grounds to engage students on every aspect of agriculture, including careers, livestock, planting and harvest, ethanol, land stewardship, and how corn is used in everyday life. There was live animals and real machinery for the kids to see up close.
