Aubrey Trail cuts own throat in court

WILBER, Neb. – A man on trial for the 2017 slaying of a Lincoln woman slashed his neck Monday morning and fell from a wheelchair during court proceedings.

52 year old  Aubrey Trail yelled “Bailey is innocent, and I curse you all” Monday before swiping something across his neck.

According to 1011 News,  attorneys for Aubrey Trail said he possibly used a piece of a razor blade to cut his throat.

Bailey Boswell is Trail’s co-defendant in the case.

The judge immediately made the media turn off recording devices, and everyone was dismissed.

According to 1011 News, Trail’s attorneys said the outburst was “unexpected” and that his injuries weren’t serious but did require several stitches.

They were unsure what hospital he was taken to, but said he is in the process of being released.

According to Judge Vicky Johnson, Trail will have to be in handcuffs for the rest of the murder trial, which is expected to resume on Tuesday morning.

She also asked the jury to disregard the outburst and not consider it in deliberations.

25 year old  Bailey Boswell, has  also been charged with first-degree murder in the gruesome death and dismemberment of 24-year-old Sydney Loofe. Boswell is awaiting trial.

Prosecutors say Loofe’s death was a planned abduction and killing. Trail’s attorney says Loofe’s killing was an accident that occurred as she, Trail and Boswell played out a consensual sex fantasy.
